PHOTO BEIJING

Photo Beijing, sponsored by Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China and Beijing Municipal People's Government, prepared by China Artistic Photography Society, China Photographers Association, Xinhua News Agency Image Center, and Beijing Gehua Cultural Development Group, is a large-scale photography-themed activity which is international-oriented and innovation-driven.

Since its debut in 2013, four sessions of Photo Beijing have been held, namely, "Photography • Focusing on the World" "Horizon • Unbounded" "Image • Century", and "Image • On-Site". Benefitting from the geographical advantage of Beijing - a center for domestic cultural exchanges and international cooperation, authority and specialty of organization, and the public participation, the four sessions have drawn much attention across the world, thus setting an example of an international photography exhibition with a strong influence.

Photo Beijing 2017 will be hosted at China Millennium Monument on October 12 to 22, with the theme "Photography: Origin and Future" covering five activities, namely, "Opening Ceremony" "Series Exhibitions" "Photography Lectures" "Photography Market" and "Special Activities". Professional photographers and amateurs will conduct an in-depth exchange on the art of photography and issues in the contemporary society.

CHINA ARTISTIC PHOTOGRAPHY SOCIETY

China Artistic Photography Society, founded in 1988, is a Class-I national society under the Ministry ofCulture of the People’s Republic of China. Committed to promoting photographic activities among thepublic and advancing

photography as an undertaking, the Society organizes diverse events to flourishartistic creations and facilitate the displays of the works by the photographers as well as photographicfans and exchanges among them.

The Society consists of the Chairman, Vice-chairman, Executive Director, Director and members. TheSecretarygeneral is responsible for the daily work related to the operation of the Society that has fivecommittees.


CHINA PHOTOGRAPHERS ASSOCIATION (CPA)

China Photographers Association (CPA) , establ ished in December 1956, is the first nat ional photographicorganization in the history of People's Republic of China, a professional association composed ofphotographers of various ethnic groups nationwide, a group member of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC), and a major force of promoting Chinese photography.

CPA takes its task to unite photographers, photography practitioners and photography lovers fromvarious ethnic groups, provide trainings to photographers, and promote the development and prosperityof Chinese photography cause. At present, CPA has 53 group members (photographers associations) indifferent provinces, cities and autonomous regions, and more than 17,000 individual members. It is themost influential and authoritative photographic organization in China.

CPA undertakes liaison, coordination and service among its members, and gives professional guidance toits group members by organizing exhibitions, photographic creations, theoretical researches, academicsymposia and forums, assessment, personnel training and external exchanges. It reflects the viewpointsand requirements of its members, safeguards their legitimate rights and interests.

CPA has a number of brand photographic programs, such as Golden Statue Award for China Photography,National Photographic Art Exhibition, China International Photographic Art Exhibition, China PhotographicArt Festival, and etc. By promoting all these events and its traditional and modern media, ChinaPhotographers Association pushes forward the academic research and technique communication, theconstruction of photographic group and the contemporary photography of China.CPA carries out extensiveexternal exchanges and tries best to contribute to the peace and cultural development of the world aswell as the progress of the mankind.


CHINA IMAGE GROUP (CIG)
