This exhibition "The Photographic Narrative in the Middle Kingdom” is a complement and a follow up to the color book of the same title published in 2015 in Montréal (Editions Cayenne). The only such trilingual album entirely devoted to the PRC and published in French-speaking Montreal-- the city where Norman Bethune win recognition for his dedicated social work before leaving for the Red Front.

The author wrote: "I did not want to limit myself to seeing the flowers from the back of a horse. In addition to Beijing and bustling Shanghai, he visited the ancient capital Xi'an, the region of Yangshuo and spent some time in the picturesque village of Ping'an (near Guilin), who experienced the parallel between traditional culture and modern society. His direct communication with people of all walks of life and sharing home made cooking in the intimacy of a family. The food lover pointed out: "All of these memories I would like to share with you through the lens of my camera. China continues to mesmerize me, and I feel the need to return as often as possible."
